Oshkosh Area United Way (OAUW) is seeking nominations for the 2024 Sue Panek Community Impact Award. Nominations, being accepted now through Thursday, February 22, feature a streamlined process, enhancing efficiency for everyone to participate.
The Sue Panek Community Impact Award is a prestigious community award named in honor of Sue Panek, who served as OAUW’s Executive Director for 25 years until her well-earned retirement in 2018. Sue dedicated her career to identifying needs, bringing together partners, and engaging the community to find solutions to social issues in Oshkosh.
This award is presented each year to an individual or group from the Oshkosh area that exemplifies the same commitment to the community as Sue. Nominees should showcase a dedication to exceeding expectations through their work or volunteer efforts, creating a significant impact in one of OAUW’s three initiatives: Youth-Focused Education, Mental Health, and/or Financial Stability. The award includes a $1,000 donation to a local nonprofit organization of the recipient’s choosing, serving Southern Winnebago County.
All nominations must be submitted through OAUW’s website at https://www.oshkoshunitedway.org/sue-panek-community-impact-award/. The winner will be announced at Oshkosh Area United Way’s Community Celebration this spring.
